YAKIMA - Lower Valley Crisis and Support Services of Sunnyside has received a $42,261 state grant to provide shelter to those who are homeless or at risk for homelessness.
That's according to action taken this past Tuesday by Yakima County commissioners, who approved the grant contract.
The funds are administered by Yakima County and the money set aside for the Lower Valley non-profit will be available to help with rent assistance and facility support for households that have children under the age of 18.
