So, now we are looking for a new police chief in Sunnyside, but we wouldn't want to consider Deputy Chief Phil Schenck because Mr. Sweet, the city manager, dislikes him for questioning things that seem wrong and standing up for his police officers and what is best for the city of Sunnyside, which in some instances meant going against Mr. Sweet.
Now that Phil has been let go what are the odds we will be able to find a police chief the city council and Mr. Sweet will be happy with? It will need to be someone who can't pass a background check, has terrible credit history, has been fired from another city and has criminal charges pending.
WOW...we set our standards high here in Sunnyside.
