The building that once housed medical offices at the corner of East Franklin Avenue and South Eighth Street in Sunnyside was torn down to make way for the Sunnyside Fire Department’s modernization and expansion project. Demo crews yesterday (Tuesday) made quick of the demolition. By day’s end yesterday all that re-mained of the building at East Franklin Avenue and South Eighth Street was a pile of rubble. Demolition of the structure was completed by Mahaffey, a subcontractor of Blews Construction.
