Forgiveness brings its own blessings

It is known that to forgive is beneficial to you and your peace of mind.
It is very difficult to achieve this; it requires an effort.
Jesus was asked how many times we should forgive our enemies and He recommended "seven times seven times." We read in the Bible (Matthew 6:12) "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors."
To be happy, we should pardon those who have hurt us, on purpose or unintentionally.
We never know if, unknowingly, we have hurt a person's feelings, accused someone wrongly or simply forgotten to thank a person. There have been times when I have been grateful to be forgiven, both by people and by God. God loves everyone and is merciful.
My Grandpa's cousin was walking to the train depot when he was robbed and murdered. The family was terribly upset. But his mother visited the assassin in prison and forgave him. Many were very impressed by her unusual, unselfish gesture.
Mary Baker Eddy states in "Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures, (5:23) "Sin is forgiven only as it is destroyed by Christ, Truth and Life."
It is comforting to read also in (9:17) "Thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness."
My Grandma and her sister inherited a farm. The sister cheated her and took more thanher fair share. My Grandmother forgave her and did not take legal action. But she had a happy life and a great marriage. Her sister had a lot of trouble and had a bad marriage to an alcoholic husband. In conclusion, let it be said that forgiveness brings its own blessings.
