Not over the hill yet

The Old Timers, a team comprised of Sunnyside-area ball players, captured top honors this past weekend at the Mid-Columbia Senior 50 & Over Softball Tournament held at Richland’s Horn Rapids Sports Complex. The local squad could muster just a 1-2 record in pool play Saturday, but won all three of its trophy round games Sunday to take the top prize. The tourney championship team included (front L-R) Felix Cordova, Paul Saenz, Chino Esqueda, Robert Arambul and Rene Montelongo; (back L-R) Bob Sarmiento Sr., Jon Cox, Joe Trevino, Juan Gonzalez and Gilbert Briones.
