Grandview plans 7-on-7 passing league

GRANDVIEW - Football players in Grandview will get a chance to hone their skills this summer during the 7-on-7 football passing league.
The league will consist of teams of elementary, middle school and high school players. Students ages five to 19 are eligible to participate.
The league will accept teams with 10 to 15 players. Each team must have a parent or adult coach and a team name. Rick Ramos is helping to organize the league, and he said if there are teams with fewer players they will be plugged into the league with other players.
Only students who live in Grandview or attend Grandview schools are eligible to compete.
There is no cost to play in the league and the first days of registration will be next Monday, June 29, and Wednesday, July 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Grandview High School practice field.
Games will start on Monday, July 6. All games and practices will be held on the high school practice football field and the football stadium.
The league is intended to help players sharpen their passing, blocking and receiving skills as well as their ability to defend against the pass.
For more information call Ramos at 305-7738.
