Our beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend, Doris Hinrichsen, 88, of Grandview, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 27, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with health problems.
She was born July 20, 1920 in Yakima.
She married the love of her life, Dale Hinrichsen on Sept. 3, 1939. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3rd. of this year.
They moved to Mabton in 1943 and enjoyed farming until they retired in 1984, when they moved to Grandview. The couple had two children, Ann (Jim) Harris of Grandview and Bill (Anita) Hinrichsen of Ceres, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Doris will be remembered for her devotion to her husband, children, great-grandchildren and friends.
At her request, there will be no funeral or memorial services.
Memorials in memory of Doris may be made to the Heart Foundation.
