Charles Edward Zimmermann, 79, of Prosser passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen of Prosser; his sister, Phyllis Wendt of West Bend, Wis.; son, David (Sarah) Zimmermann of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three daughters, Diane (Brian) Lewinski of Kennewick, Karen (Mark) Gifford of Kirkland and Karol (John) Hockaday of Pasco; four grandsons, Derek and Hunter Hockaday, Addison Gifford and Alex Lewinski; and one granddaughter, Emma Diane Zimmermann.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 815 Luther Lane, Prosser.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Lower Valley Hospice, Alzheimer's Association or to the National Parkinson Foundation, in care of Prosser Funeral Home, P.O. Box 409, Prosser, WA 99350.
