Marie L. Klarenbeek, 65, of Grandview passed away on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in Richland.
Marie was born Aug. 2, 1946 in Chico, Calif. to Ernest and Madeline (Wilson) Garner.
On July 11, 1976 Marie married Clarence Klarenbeek in Reno, Nev.
Marie worked in the laundry and housekeeping departments at the Prosser Hospital for 28 years.
She was a Bingo fanatic, avid NASCAR fan and an animal lover. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching football and baseball, camping, fishing and feeding the birds at her home. Marie also loved to collect "humming bird" items of all sorts.
She loved and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Marie is survived by her children, Pauline Brown of Moses Lake, Lydia Armstrong and her life partner, Richard Burton, of Prosser and Angela Stremler of Grandview; her mother, Madeline Garner of Sunnyside; her grandchildren, Kalani Thorne, Alex Stremler, Owen Burton, Shylenn Stremler, Dylan Brown and Tyler Brown; and one brother, James Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Klarenbeek; her in-laws, Cornelius and Jennie Klarenbeek; her father, Ernest Garner; and one brother-in-law, Roy Holmes.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside.
