Eva Garcia Sanchez, 72, of Yakima and a former Sunnyside resident died on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at Yakima Regional Hospital.
She was born April 22, 1938 in Eagle Pass, Texas, the daughter of Jose Maria and Altagracia (Lopez) Garcia. She received her education in Texas.
On Oct. 19, 1955 she married Pedro Sanchez in Burley, Idaho.
Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, from 12 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
