THOMAS LEE ST. GEORGE

Thomas Lee St. George, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 in Sunnyside at the age of 65. He was born in Coos Bay, Ore. on Feb. 24, 1947 to Raymond and Stella St. George. He was the youngest of five sons.
Tom graduated from Mabton High School in 1965. After graduation he served in the United States Army for two years. After being discharged from the Army he went to work for Safeway, working in Sunnyside, Prosser and retiring from Grandview Safeway after 33 years of service. Tom continued to work for three more years for J.C. Penney, retiring at age 62 in 2009.
In May of 1970, he met Teresa Joann Rabie and they married on Feb. 6, 1971. They lived in Mabton for over 41 years, in a home given to them by his parents.
Tom had two children. Craig Thomas (Heidi) St. George who is currently serving the United States Air Force at Fort George Meade, Maryland and Kimiyo Karoline St. George of Mabton. He also has two grandchildren, Celton Bruce St. George and Camden Douglas St. George of Fort George Meade.
Tom enjoyed traveling to visit his grandsons, fishing, Mabton High School sports, playing pinochle and reading, especially Stephen King books.
Tom is survived by his wife Teresa of Mabton; son Craig (Heidi) St. George of Fort George Meade and daughter Kimiyo St. George of Mabton; two grandsons Celton and Camden St. George of Fort George Meade; four brothers, Philip (Eloise) St. George of Yakima, Edward (Delores) St. George of Lake Tap, Richard (Patricia) St. George of Wenatchee and Joseph (Judi) St. George of Naches; in-laws Vivian (Ron) Simpson of Grandview, Alice (Doug) Stenglein of Billings, Mont. and Larry Rabie of Tacoma. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mabton with burial to follow at Mabton Cemetery in Mabton. In lieu of flowers those wishing to honor Tom's memory may recite a Mass. RODOLFO "RUDY" RODRIGUEZ
Rodolfo "Rudy" Rodriguez, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, passed away at Emerald Care Nursing Home in Wapato on Sept. 29, 2012. Rudy was born on Aug. 8, 1951 in Sunnyside to Nieves and Lucia Rodriguez.
He was diagnosed with spinal cancer approximately two years ago. He fought the sickness but eventually submitted and left this earth to be in the Heavens with the Lord.
Rudy started working at an early age as a farm labor worker in the Lower Yakima Valley. He then was hired at the age of 15 by C. Speck Motors of Sunnyside. From there, he was drafted in to the U.S. Army. He served a four-year term and was honorably discharged in 1977. He was a Vietnam veteran and had advanced to an E5 Sergeant rank.
Rudy was also employed at the Gerald Williams fruit warehouse in Sunnyside where he worked as a line foreman and mechanic and for Del Monte Cannery of Toppenish as a line mechanic for many years.
He is survived by a son, Gilbert Wood of the Tri-Cities; daughter, Dora Esparza of Sunnyside; two brothers, Gilbert (Amelia) Rodriguez of Yakima and Jose Rodriguez of Yakima; four sisters, Maria Delgado of Texas, Dalia (Joe) Lemos of Yakima, Carol (Daniel) Acosta of Yakima, and Nelda (Israel) Plata of Sunnyside and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Memorial services with military honors will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. also at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
