October expected to be warm

The National Weather Service predicts the Sunnyside area will have a warmer than usual October.
That's according to a report the agency provided this week.
Also forecast is near to below normal precipitation.
Normal day time high temperatures in Sunnyside during October range from 75 degrees at the first of the month to 60 degrees at the end of the month. Normal low night time temperatures in October range from 42 to 34 degrees. Normal precipitation for the month is .63 inches.
The warm trend for October would be a change from last month, which proved to have colder than normal temperatures for the month of September.
The average temperature here last month, according to the National Weather Service, was 61.2 degrees. That's 2.9 degrees below normal.
High day time temperatures for September averaged 79.5 degrees, which was 1.4 degrees below normal. The highest temperature last month was 87 degrees on Sept. 16.
Low night time temperatures last month averaged 42.8 degrees, 4.5 degrees below normal. The coldest temperature in September was 34 degrees on Sept. 11.
Precipitation last month totalled .01 inches, .43 inches below normal.
Year-to-date precipitation for the Sunnyside area is 5.51 inches, .82 inches above normal.
