ALBERT L. LEIJA

Albert L. Leija, 27, of Grandview passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, in Richland.

Albert was born Dec. 15, 1984 in Sunnyside to Pedro and Corina (Sanchez) Leija. Albert received his early education in Sunnyside and earned his GED at WSU.

He worked as a food processor for Independent Foods.

Albert loved to rap, make music, the work that he did at Independent Foods, but he truly cherished the time he spent with his son, Devin, shopping, out to eat and also the time he spent "Kicking it" with his friends at concerts and other outings.

Albert is survived by his loving son, Devin Leija; mother, Corina Verdugo; and siblings, Misty Garza and Paul Leija.

Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
