Water tower lease approved

GRANDVIEW - The Grandview City Council this past Tuesday night approved a lease agreement with Cellco Partnership, also known as Verizon Wireless Services.

The lease agreement is for use of the city's water tower, located at King and Elm streets, for the placement of an antenna and equipment for cellular services.

The monthly lease payment to the city of Grandview will be $1,300.

City Administrator Cus Arteaga said the agreement draws to a close nearly two years of negotiations.

The agreement received unanimous council approval.
