OBITUARY

ANNE DEYOUNG

Anne DeYoung, 94, of Sunnyside went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.

She was born Anna Gourderjan, but preferred "Anne" with an "e" on Aug. 10, 1918 in Kalamazoo, Mich., the daughter of George and Minnie Gouderjan.

She married Andrew DeYoung on Feb. 14, 1948, where they continued to make their home until moving to Sunnyside in 1957.

Anne enjoyed reading, walking with her friends and gardening in her autumn years.

Little children always brought a smile to her face. She loved her cats, Snowball and Morris. They were her companions after her husband passed away in 1986.

She is survived by her friends and church family at Sunnyside Grace Brethren Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother.

Thank you to the staff at Sun Terrace, Eagle Rehab and Lower Valley Hospice for their excellent care.

Memorials may be made to the Union Gospel Mission.

At the request of Mrs. DeYoung, there will only be graveside services held Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.

Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
