MARGARET LOUISE WATERMAN

Margaret Louise Waterman 85, of Sunnyside passed away from this life into Eternal Life, on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in New Castle.

Margaret was born June 19, 1927 in Mabton to Frank and Mabel De Bock. She spent her childhood in Outlook. Her adult life was spent in Sunnyside and around the Yakima Valley, and also resided briefly in Colorado and Missouri.

She worked hard as a mother and homemaker, but also as a restaraunteur, teacher's aid and for Twin City Foods.

She was active and faithful in various churches wherever she lived, and enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts and drawing as well as singing, playing guitar, even composing her own songs, and she loved her Mariners.

She is survived by her loving sister, Grace Cromwell; her loving brother, Albert De Bock; her children, Shirley (Bill) Smith, Gary (Sharon) Waterman, Albert (Rosie) Waterman, Rhoda Middleton, Gayla (Mike) Prummer, Joey (Cindy) Waterman, Marcy (Brian) Blackburn; and 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Waterman; her siblings, Robert Celius, Clair Celius, Gordon Celius and Marion Sexton; and one daughter, Carol Jo Waterman.

Margaret will be remembered for her giving spirit, devotion to her family and her enthusiasm for hard work.

Her memory will live in the hearts of those who loved and cared for her.

Viewing and visitation will be held Friday Nov. 30, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Services will be held Saturday Dec. 1, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside, with graveside services to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
