;JERRY GAIL MCNABB
December 27, 2012
Jerry Gail McNabb, 69, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle was taken suddenly from us all on Fruday, Dec. 14, 2012, to be with his Lord and Savior.
He was born May 10, 1943 in Pawnee, Okla. to Morris and Velma (Armstrong) McNabb. Later they moved to California and made their home there. His mother passed away when he was a child. His grandparents helped raise him after his mother's death. His family moved to Washington in the 1950s
In 1964 Jerry married Donna Marie Hendrickson. They made their home in Seattle. Over the years, they raised five children. Later they divorced, however, and remained friends.
From 1966 through 1967 he served in the U.S. Army. In the 1970s, he moved back to the Yakima Valley to be near his sister and brother.
Over the years, he had several job opportunities. He was a cook, painter, laborer and a handyman, but he would try and do anything anyone asked him to do.
He enjoyed the time he spent with his close friends and neighbors.
He will truly be missed by everyone.
Jerry attended the First Baptist Church in Sunnyside. He enjoyed serving the Lord by helping others in need and being able to serve his church family.
He is survived by his children, Jerry (Jackie) McNabb of Tukwila, Charley McNabb of Sea Tac, Renee (Jose) Casamalhuapa of La Mesa, Calif., Raymond (Marilyn) McNabb of Covington, and Thomas Masterson of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, Colton, Cahlin, Jose Jr., Cecilia, Tessa, Juan Carlos, Angela, Graciela, Maxamiliano, Jaymie, Joshua and Cameron; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Jake McNabb of Hendersonville, N.C., Bill McNabb of Anchorage, Alaska, Lee McNabb of Prosser and Mike Greene of California; one sister, Pam Smith of Idaho; sister-in-law, Gloria Quick of Sunnyside; and several nieces and nephews.
