OBITUARYENCARNACION CHAVEZ-AGUILARJanuary 31, 2013 Encarnacion Chavez-Aguilar, 89, of Mabton was carried to heaven in the healing arms of our Savior on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, with her family and friends at her side. Encarnacion was born March 21, 1923 in Guerrero, Mexico. She moved to Mabton in 2000 to be with her family. She is survived by six sons, Pascual Torres and Jose Torres, both of Mexico, Tomas Torres, Salomon Torres and Pedro Torres, all of Mabton and Rogelio Torres of Sunnyside; four daughters, Sofia Torres of Kennewick, Esperanza Torres, Paula Torres and Juana Torres, all of Mabton; two brothers, Wenseslao Chavez and Santiago Chaves, both of Mexico; 41 grandchildren; 68-plus great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, Jan. 31, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m., with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mabton, with graveside services to follow at Mabton Cemetery.
