Let's not rush finding a new city manager

With Mr. Sweet being gone I hope the council doesn't RUSH to find another city manager. The number of city managers we have gone through and the amount of money we have spent to find them, get them here, then pay them to leave is unbelievable!

It has to make one wonder....with the exception of Mr. Sweet, was there really a problem with ALL the city managers or is the problem elsewhere in the city? Possibly the way things work in city hall?

I realize the city needs a manager but maybe we need to change the way we recruit and hire our city employees? Hopefully the department heads are strong enough leaders along with acting city manager Aaron Markham, that they can work together to keep things running smoothly until we can find a quality city manager who will stay around a while!

Mr. Markham was told by Councilman Don Vlieger that the appointment would only be for a week or two....then what?
