Marlee Ziegler of Sunnyside and Matt Elliott of Moses Lake were married Saturday, Aug. 1, in a late afternoon ceremony held at the Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center in Prosser. Serving as maid of honor was Rachel Rodriguez. Colton Haas was best man. Bridesmaids included Heidi Merrit, Kayla Elliott and Stormie Douglas, who wore black lace dresses with a champagne-colored underlay in keeping with the bride’s white, gold and black colored Great Gatsby scheme. Flower girls Sadie Merrit and Isabella Douglas wore gold sequin dresses with black sashes and gold crowns. The bridegroom and his groomsmen entered the ceremony to the music of the Star Wars’ “Imperial March.” His groomsmen included Matt Milanca and Mike Ryan. Elijah Elliott was the ring bearer carrying a Star Wars’ ring pillow. The couple’s wedding vows included the words “in a galaxy far, far, away.” The Star Wars-theme was also featured on the wedding cake with a handmade topper of the newlyweds holding light sabers. The wedding guests enjoyed a catered dinner from Sunnyside’s Bon Vino’s Bistro and Bakery, with music by DJ Garin Moore. A photo booth and complimentary photographs were also enjoyed. Following a honeymoon trip to southern California, the couple is at home in Moses Lake.
Zamora and Lopez
Samantha Zamora and C.J. Lopez will be united in marriage this coming Saturday at Le Jardin in Zillah. The bride-elect is the daughter of Gabriel and Misty Zamora of Sunnyside. The groom-to-be is the son of Daniel Lopez and Melinda Diaz, both of Grandview. Zamora is a 2009 graduate of Sunnyside High School. She earned an Associate’s degree at Columbia Basin College in 2012 and a Bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2014. She is the owner of the Daily Buzz espresso shop in Sunnyside. Lopez graduated from Grandview High School in 2008. He continued his education, earning a degree to become a physical therapist assistant at Pima Medical Institute in 2015.
