"We are looking for kids who can dance, sing, or have their own band," said Fairbairn.

For more information or to pick up an application contact Angie Guizar at 836-8416 or Artemio Madrigal in the high school counselor's office at 836-5825.

Application deadline is April 7.

Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 10

Sunnyside's Central Park will again be the site of the local parks and recreation department's annual Easter egg hunt.

This year's hunt will be held Saturday, April 10. This free event is open to children under the age of 6.

The fun starts at 9:30 a.m. with craft projects, with the hunt for wrapped candy beginning at 10 a.m.

Parents are advised their children should bring their own baskets, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. The adults will not be allowed to assist the youngsters in hunting for the candy.
