Effie Mae Dillon, 79, of Grandview died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Hillcrest Manor in Sunnyside.

She was born July 14, 1924 in Indianapolis, Ind., the daughter of Elsie Moore and Henry Poliquin. She received her education in Indiana and graduated from Short Ridge High School. On Aug. 1, 1964 she married Tom Dillon in Sunnyside. She worked as a telephone operator for United Telephone Company in Sunnyside, retiring after 22 + years.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Dillon of Grandview; one son, Jay C.C. Woodworth; four step-children; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and several brothers and sisters.

Viewing and visitation will be held Monday, April 12, 2004, from 9:30 a.m. until noon at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, April 12, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside.

Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements
