The leading Democratic candidate for the Washington state governor's race will be in Eastern Washington today and tomorrow, Aug. 5-6.
Currently Washington state's Attorney General, Christine Gregoire will travel to five Eastern Washington cities to promote her run for the governor's mansion. Campaign officials said Gregoire will speak with Eastern Washington residents, visit cities and tour businesses on her "Right Direction for Washington Bus Tour."
Gregoire is also expected to discuss her detailed and comprehensive plans to create 250,000 new jobs, as well as other strategies she believes will lead Washington state in the right direction.
The gubernatorial candidate's first stop was scheduled for 10 a.m. this morning (Thursday) at Gonzaga's law school in Spokane. She was then scheduled to speak at the Ritzville park gazebo at 12:15 p.m., and beginning at 3:15 p.m. was to tour downtown Walla Walla.
Friday at 11 a.m. Gregoire is set to tour Columbia Basin businesses in Kennewick. Also on Friday, at 2:15 p.m., she will take a walking tour of downtown Yakima, starting at the Grey Stone Restaurant on Front Street.
