Special needs children to be helped by hospital

Last week, the Sunnyside School Board approved an agreement with Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

The contract calls for Memorial Hospital to provide early intervention services for special needs children ranging in age from infants to 3-years-old. The early intervention program is for all children falling within the age requirements living in the Sunnyside School District.

The school district will be utilizing monies set aside by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction to pay for program expenses.
