Arrests solve local burglary rash

The arrest of three juvenile males Thursday afternoon is believed to have solved a number of burglaries in Sunnyside over the past week.

Sunnyside police officers responded to the 1100 block of Yakima Valley Highway at 4 a.m. Thursday morning for a burglary alarm, according to Det. Jim Orth.

With the help of Yakima County Sheriff's deputies, three juveniles were apprehend.

Orth said that the arrest of the teenagers is believed to have also solved several other burglaries in Sunnyside.

Detectives continue to investigate the suspects' involvement in other crimes in town.

The three boys will be charged through Yakima County Juvenile Court.

They face charges of attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools and trespassing.
