G'view resident charged with resisting arrest

A 27-year-old Grandview man was arrested early this morning (Thursday) after allegedly resisting arrest by a Sunnyside police officer.

The man was contacted just before 1 a.m. for playing his music too loudly, according to Sunnyside Police Officer Kent Coffman.

The suspect became very resistant to officers, but was detained after a struggle, said Coffman. No one was injured in the incident.

When arrested, police found that the man had a drug pipe and a knife in his possession.

The suspect has been charged with unnecessary noise prohibited, drug paraphernalia prohibited, disorderly conduct, possession of a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.
