Stella M. Lynch, 85, of Sunnyside passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Hillcrest Manor in Sunnyside.

Stella was born Oct. 27, 1919 at Byron, to Willard and Ethel M. (Wallace) Smith. On Aug. 10, 1940 she married Carl Lynch in Grandview. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

She was a member of the Outlook Church of the Brethern. Church was a very important part of her life for many years.

She loved to go camping with her family. She really loved to drive her Volkswagon van.

Stella is survived by a son, Clinton E. Lynch and wife, Kathy, of Sumner; one daughter, Karen Runyon and husband, Larry, of Hermiston, Ore.; one sister, Bertha Reno of Moxee; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren.

Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lynch; two brothers, Rollin and Dale Smith; and one sister, Cora Harvard.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel, Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside. Valley Hills Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements.
