Grandview thieves busy on Christmas

GRANDVIEW - Grandview police are investigating two burglaries which took place between Christmas Eve and Sunday morning, Dec. 26.

Burglars broke into a shed in the 100 block of Wilson Highway late on Christmas Eve. They attempted to get away with a number of tools, valued at $100, said Grandview Assistant Police Chief Armando Martinez.

"They were only successful in getting away with one circular saw," said Martinez.

He said the cord of a second saw got tangled up on the shed door and it was left at the scene.

Grandview police detectives are also investigating an early Sunday morning break-in in the 1000 block of Cherry Lane.

Martinez said burglars forced open a back door to gain entry into the residence, taking electronic equipment valued at an estimated $1.300 to $1,400.
