James S. Isaacson, 80, of Yakima and a former Sunnyside resident died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at Yakima Memorial Hospital.

Keith and Keith Funeral Home, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.


Arthur Paul Lenseigne, 80, of Grandview died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at Sunnyside Community Hospital.

He was born April 15, 1924 in Moxee to Oscar Joseph and Leona (Bechard) Lenseigne. He received his education at Holy Rosary Catholic School in Moxee. In October of 1945, he joined U.S. Army, serving until May of 1947. On June 5, 1948, he married Rosemary Pilon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yakima. He retired in 1989 from Twin City Foods.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosemary Lenseigne of Grandview; two sons, Steve Lenseigne and wife, Dixie, of Green Pond, Ala., and Dale Lenseigne and wife, Donna, of Spokane; three daughters, Joanne Puckett and husband, Jay, of Shingle Springs, Calif., Darlene Mashburn and husband, Rick, of Grandview, and June Lenseigne of Yakima; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and two brothers. Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m.

with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Grandview. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview, with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, is in charge of arrangements.


Modesta Sosa Munguia, 77, of San Jose, Calif. died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at San Jose.

Modesta Sosa Munguia was born Feb. 24, 1927 at San Carlos, Texas, the daughter of Eluterio and Aurelia Sosa. She spent her early years and received her education in Texas, and later married Julian Munguia. The family later moved to Outlook. Her husband, Julian, died in September 1979. Modesta had made her home in San Jose for the past two years.

She is survived by six children, Rosie Ramirez of Madera, Calif., Norma Mendez of San Jose, Julian Munguia Jr. of Zillah, Placido Munguia and Juan Munguia, both of Yakima, and Daniel Munguia of San Jose; two brothers, David and Toby; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Americo and Eluterio Munguia; and two sisters, Alice and Marcelina.

Modesta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a service to be held at 6:30 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Outlook Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
