GOLDENDALE - The Bickleton High School girls basketball team gave its all, but fell short of advancing beyond District action in Goldendale Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Pirates fell to Riverside Christian, 59-21, in the loser-out victory.
The Riverside Lady Crusaders now advance to the semi-finals on Friday, which will be held in Sunnyside. Riverside is scheduled to face Klickitat.
The Bickleton girls fell behind Riverside in the first quarter 11-7, and ended the first half down 28-11. The Lady Pirates were unable to get past the Crusaders, who burst out with third quarter score of 21-3
The Lady Pirates' Annie Hess was team's top scorer with 11 points. She also brought down 11 rebounds, claimed five steals and three blocked shots.
Also adding points for the Lady Pirates were Ashley Whitmore with 4 points and six rebounds and Kirstin Slater, who banked in 2 points and brought down four rebounds in the team's final game for the 2003-04 season.
The Bickleton Lady Pirates ended their season with an overall 11-9 record, according to Bickleton Coach Tom Whitmore.
