Bickleton's flea market date changes

BICKLETON - The third annual Bickleton Goodwill Society Flea Market will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, according to event organizers.

The Goodwill Society members recently decided to move the flea market date due to the unpredictability of Bickleton's spring weather. The event, which attracts vendors from all over the region, has previously been held the last weekend of April.

"It has been either too cold or too wet for our vendors and shoppers in late April the past couple of years," said Marilyn Roberts of the Goodwill Society.

"We decided to move the event later in the year, hoping for better weather," she said.

The event is held on Bickleton's main street for one day only. The Goodwill Society charges for the space, which benefits the Bickleton Presbyterian Church.

"We are now accepting space reservation," Roberts said.
