Shed fire causes $18,000 in damage

GRANDVIEW - A Wednesday morning shed fire at 204 Elm St. in Grandview caused $18,000 worth of damage.

According to the Grandview Fire Department, the fire was reported at 7:30 a.m. and was extinguished an hour later with help from the Grandview Fire Department and Yakima County Fire District Five.

Grandview Fire Chief Charles Damron said the fire started in the shed, which was used for cabinet making, and spread to a neighbor's shed structure.

Damron said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
