Hall top finisher in Black Rock Creek President's Cup play

Bob Hall Jr. bested the field this past weekend in 2004 President's Cup play at Black Rock Creek Golf Course.

Hall shot a one-over 145 in the two-day tourney. He carded an even-par 72 on Saturday, closing out the competition with a one-over 73 on Sunday.

Hall's two-day total was three strokes better than the runner-up, Eddie Joe Risk. The second place finisher fired a pair of 74's.

The low net winner in 2004 President's Cup action was Pete Veliz. Playing with a 12-handicap, Veliz posted a 79 on Saturday for a net 67. He polished off his two-day round with an even-par 72 on Sunday, giving him a net 60 for the day. His two-day net total (actual score minus handicap) totaled 127, which was nine strokes better than the second place net finisher, Tom Diener.

Hole prize winners were Bob Rice for longest putt on No. 1, Veliz for KP honors on No. 6, Dan Clark for KP honors on No. 12, Risk for KP honors on No. 17, Buzz Blake for KP honors on No. 3, Jack Syverson for KP honors on No. 9, Mike Clark for longest drive on No. 13 and Steward Rogers for KP honors on No. 17.
