WALLA WALLA - Andrew Schutt of Sunnyside, who will be a senior at Sunnyside Christian High School this fall, tied for 16th place honors at the 2004 Banner Bank Junior Invitational Golf Tournament.
The tourney was staged at the 6,434-yard Walla Walla Country Club. Schutt was competing in the boys 15/17-year-old age division.
Schutt's two-round total was a 153. He fired a 77 through the first 18 holes, lowering his score to a 76 on the second 18-hole round.
The boys 15/17-year-old winner was Kevin Tucker of Kennewick. Tucker blew away the competition, carding a 135 (67-68). The second place finisher, Ash Miles of West Richland, was nine strokes back with a 144 (72-72).
Also competing in Walla Walla in the boys 15/17-year-old age division were Sunnyside's Kevin Lick and Grandview's Andrew Michels and Sean Tudor.
Lick finished in a tie for 20th place honors on rounds of 79-78.
Michels placed 25th with rounds of 81-78. Tudor was the 42nd place finisher. He shot 88-90.
The tournament's other age division winners included (girls 15/17-year-olds) Kaitlin Parsons of East Wenatchee with an 80-80; (boys 12/14-year-olds) Jonathan Lumper of Kennewick with a 70-84; and (girls 12/14-year-olds) Christine Cook of Yakima with a 93-89.
