Couples compete at S'side course

Results from the last three Wednesdays in couples play at Sunnyside's Black Rock Creek Golf Course have been announced.

Wednesday, July 7, the low nine-hole best ball/scramble team score was a two-under 34. Members of the winning squad included Pete and Jacque Jensen, Rod and Kathy Rupert, Bud and Barb Schatz, John and Rose Fleming, and Ken and Rae Ann Goin.

The low net team score that evening was a 21. Team members included Mike Stegeman and Lucille Rohman, Harry Lohman and Madelyne Kassebaum, Robert and Larna Munn, and Al and Bobbie Turner.

Flag prize winners on July 7 were Pete Jensen for KP honors on No. 10 (7'8"), Rae Ann Goin for KP honors on No. 12 (13'7"), Wayne Gustafson for KP honors on No. 17 (21'2") and Carolyn Smith for longest putt on No. 18 (16").

Wednesday, June 30, the low team score was a four-under 32. The winning squad was comprised of Gene and Mary Ann Bliesner, Bud and Barb Schatz, Robert and Larna Munn, and Wayne and Karen Gustafson.

Low net winners on June 30, with a 22, were Harry Lohman and Madelyne Kassebaum, Doc and Diane Storslee, Ken and Rae Ann Goin, and Loran and Theresa Hancock.

Flag prize winners that night included Robert Munn for KP honors on No. 1 (4'4"), Theresa Hancock for closest chip on No. 3 (2'6"), Doc Storslee for closest chip on No. 8 (5'1") and Rose Fleming for KP honors on No.9 (11'3").

Wednesday, June 23, the low team score was an even-par 36. The top golfers that evening included Robert and Larna Munn, John and Rose Fleming, Bud and Barb Schatz, and Wayne and Karen Gustafson.

Low net winners on June 23, with a 24, were Harry Lohman and Madelyne Kassebaum, Steve Faust and Kari Hunt, Ken and Rae Ann Goin, and Loran and Theresa Hancock.

The two flag prize winners that night were Wayne Gustafson for KP honors on No. 10 (10'0") and Bud Schatz for KP honors on No. 17 (7'11").
