Summer youth program plans Friday car wash

Need a clean car this Friday night? A group of eager Grandview teens, armed with buckets and scrub brushes, will be happy to help out.

The Summer Youth Academic Employment Program from Grandview High School will be washing cars for donations Friday, July 30, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Sunnyside Arby's parking lot on Yakima Valley Highway.

The proceeds from the car wash will benefit the Grandview Parks and Recreation Department's summer activities program, according to Josefina Arteaga, program case manager.

The summer youth program is sponsored by the Northwest Community Action Center of Sunnyside WorkSource and is designed for young people ages 14-21.
