Oregon couple hurt in auto mishap

An Oregon couple was transported to Sunnyside Community Hospital this past Saturday afternoon to be treated for injuries they received in a one-vehicle accident.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Armando Gonzalez-Montano, 21, of Gervais, Ore. lost control of his 1994 Mazda pick-up truck while traveling southbound on SR-241. WSP troopers report Montano was negotiating a curve in the roadway, about 18 miles north of Sunnyside, when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck careened off the roadway.

He, along with his wife, 23-year-old Almadelia L. Diaz of Gervais, both sustained and injuries and were sent to the Sunnyside hospital for medical treatment.

Saturday's accident occurred at about 5:45 p.m.
