KZXR-AM to carry State basketball games

KZXR-AM General Manager Frank Allec has announced that his radio station will broadcast the games of the Sunnyside Christian and Mabton high school teams from this year's Class 'B' State tournament in Spokane.

The WIAA State tourney opens this Wednesday in the Spokane Arena.

The Sunnyside Christian High School boys hoop team (16-9) will open State tourney play Wednesday at 2 p.m. against Wilbur-Creston (19-7).

Wednesday's opponent for the Sunnyside Christian High School girls basketball team (17-7) will be Almira-Coulee-Hartline (23-1). That game is slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.

The Mabton High School boys basketball team (16-8) will play Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. against Republic (24-1).

All three games will be broadcast live on KZXR-AM (1310).
