Burglars on the loose in G'view

GRANDVIEW - Since Monday six burglaries have been reported to the Grandview Police Department.

According to Grandview Detective Mark Ware, a home in the 100 block of Euclid Avenue was burglarized March 1. He said that victim, who was just moving into the residence, knows that a television and a stereo were taken from the home. Ware said officials believe that two suspects were involved in the burglary. He added that they believe a car was parked nearby for an easy get-away.

A burglary in the 100 block of Division Street was also reported by the owners of Mahoney and Sons. Ware said a brick was thrown through the front door of the business and the suspects fled with a small amount of cash.

Tuesday, a home in the 800 block of Dykstra Lane was burglarized, according to Grandview Police Chief Dave Charvet. The suspects pried the door open and took a skill saw and a chop saw.

A resident living in the 1300 block of West Third Street was at home sleeping when their house was burglarized at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect walked into the home and took a computer, Gameboy, Playstation and all the accessories, said Charvet.

Burglars also entered a home in the 400 block of West Fifth Street and took a Playstation, games and CDs, while the couple was gone, said Charvet.

He added that a computer was stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Sandy Lane early this morning (Wednesday).

Police are investigating all of the cases, but there are no suspects at this time in any of the investigations.
