DEA search of S'side home nets no drugs

A Sunnyside home was part of a nine-month investigation by the Drug Enforcement Agency out of Yakima.

A search warrant was served Wednesday night at a home on San Clemente Avenue, but no one was arrested and no drugs were seized, according to DEA officials.

The home was one stop in an ongoing investigation into a methamphetamine operation that led to the arrest of six men at a Yakima motel Tuesday night.

The men made initial appearances in U.S. Federal Court Thursday. According to court records, making appearances were Javier Mendoza, 30, Francisco Robledo Jr., 20, Ugo Robledo, 21, Miguel Garcia, 23, Jamie Garcia, 20, and Manuel Ruiz-Sandoval, 28. Their hometowns were not available through the courts.

The Law Enforcement Against Drugs (LEAD) task force assisted in the search of the Sunnyside home.
