At the 40th annual board meeting of Bleyhl Farm Service, Inc., board chairman Bob Golob announced that the money paid to growers for their cash portion of dividends and revolved equities totaled $331,794.
Also announced at the Feb. 21 annual meeting was that Bleyhl had a net margin, after tax, of $596,073 on sales of $32.7 million for the year ending Nov. 30, 2003.
Bleyhl General Manager Greg Robertson stated that sales were strong for farm hardware, petroleum and agronomy products during the year. He said Bleyhl was able to put together an excellent year despite some of the poor economic conditions that exist for some of the crops raised in the Yakima Valley.
The Feb. 21 meeting also saw the election of Bill Scheenstra of Sunnyside, Lynn Elder of Toppenish and Tom Freepons of Prosser to three-year terms as directors of the cooperative. Barry Halverson, Dirk VanSlageren and Archie denHoed were also elected to the Bleyhl Advisory Board for three-year terms.
