The trio of Mark Koreski, Doc Storslee and Ken Goin bested the field Sunday in the men's club 2004 kick-off event at Black Rock Creek Golf Course.
Playing a three-man scramble, Koreski, Storslee and Goin posted a 9-under 63. The threesome topped the next best finishing squads by a full three strokes. For their efforts, Koreski, Storslee and Goin shared the $140 first place prize.
Four teams tied for runner-up honors in the March 14 kick-off tourney, each carding 6-under 66's. Each three-man squad earned $78 worth of pro shop merchandise. The second place finishing teams included Bob Hall, Dana Carr and Bernie Schutt; Bud Schatz, Joe Herber and Bud Barron; Nate Bridges, Terry Ostrander and Rod Burton; and Jack Syverson, Bob Hicks and Rudy Slupsky.
One shot out of the money with a 67 was the trio of Mike Clark, Bob Van de Graff and Mel Herigstad.
Skins winners on the day were the trio of Buzz Blake, Paul Hart and Frank Durado for an eagle on No. 3 and a birdie on No. 17; and the trio of Hall, Carr and Schutt for an eagle on No. 8 and a birdie on No. 18.
