Mabton High baseball canceled

Yesterday's non-league baseball game at RiverView was canceled by Mabton High School because its sophomores were gone Tuesday on a field trip.

Mabton Coach Kerry Snodgrass said his team's schedule has been altered slightly from the schedule that was originally announced at the beginning of the season.

A Monday, March 29, non-league game against Highland has been added to the schedule, and the Tuesday, March 30, non-league game at White Swan has been canceled because the Cougars did not have enough players to field a team.

Another late addition to Mabton's schedule is a Tuesday, April 6, non-league game at home against Granger. Also, the May 5 doubleheader at home against Riverview has been changed to a single game.

Snodgrass also reports that the Saturday, March 27, doubleheader at home against Klickitat will begin at 1 p.m., instead of the 11 a.m. start time as originally announced.
