Red wagon, reminder of grandson, stolen from Mabton yard

MABTON - Last Wednesday when Gloria Cantu and her husband were doing some routine yard work they discovered something was terribly wrong.

Someone had taken a small Red Flyer wagon which had been left undisturbed in the couple's Mabton yard since the death of their grandson, Adrian Ramos, several years ago.

The wagon was one of his favorite toys, Cantu said.

"He died at age 4 from a heart condition and the wagon is a reminder of his place in our life," Cantu explained.

Seeing that it was missing was very painful, she added.

"I'm hoping that whoever took it will please return it when they read this," she said.

She said she has looked around her neighborhood, thinking perhaps a child had wandered off with the toy. But to date, she hasn't seen any sign of the wagon.

"I just want it back," she said.

Anyone with any information about the wagon is asked to call her at 894-5305.

"Or just return it, no questions asked," she pleaded.
