Hit-and-run motorist still being sought

The Yakima County's Sheriff's Office is still seeking information regarding a hit and run accident that took place Sunday, May 16, around 5 p.m. in the Grandview area.

According to the Sheriff's office, no new information has been received since the accident occurred.

The police are still looking for the driver of a light blue 1970s Datsun pickup. The driver is described as an Hispanic male in his 30s.

The victim in the hit and run accident was a 4-year-old girl, who was standing on a bridge with her father overlooking the Yakima River. According to the Sheriff's office, after the accident the driver stopped and gave the father and his daughter a ride to Sunnyside Community Hospital. After dropping them off at the hospital, the driver left without giving anyone his name or information.
