'Mame' opens on Sunnyside stage

photo

A swinging party in New York City is the scene in the opening number of the Over the Hill Senior Theatricals production of "Mame," which opened to theater-goers this past weekend. Mame, (center), played by Betty Minnich, is surrounded by party goers (L-R) Karen Santos, Louise Rohmann, Sheila Hazzard and Dave Wells. The story is about an eccentric woman who becomes mother to her nephew. The Over the Hill group will give two performances this coming weekend, Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
