Ivan Rivera, who was wanted by Sunnyside police detectives for his alleged involvement in the armed robbery at the Minute Mart near the corner of 13th Street and Decatur Avenue, was arrested last night in Burien, according to Sunnyside Det. Jim Orth.
Rivera, who was wanted on eight warrants, a Department of Corrections warrant and the Sunnyside robbery warrant, was taken into custody by the Seattle-King County SWAT team, said Orth.
"We received a tip and they found him in the back bedroom of a house," he added.
Rivera was allegedly involved in a string of armed robberies that occurred this past summer. Police made the first arrests in the case earlier this month, but had still sought Rivera and Benny Cerda. Cerda, who was shot in the armed robbery of a convenience store on Cemetery Road, is still unaccounted for.
Anyone with details on Cerda's location is asked to call the Sunnyside Police Department, 836-6200.
