PROSSER - It's a day when the Prosser community celebrates States Days, while the rest of the nation celebrates Labor Day. Set for Monday, Sept. 6, Prosser States Day will begin with a parade at 10 a.m. winding through downtown Prosser.
The day long-festival will include quilt shows, stage shows and tours of the Benton County Museum.
As an added part of the event, Prosser pioneers will register their states of origin at the Prosser City Park, a traditional States Day activity.
The afternoon entertainment, to be presented on the city park stage, will include visits from Ronald McDonald, as well as performances by Martin School Dance, Elite Cheer and Dance Squad. In addition the young crowd will be treated to two open air concerts by teen bands, Keno and The Shades, the winner of the battle of the bands in the Tri-Cities.
The afternoon will culminate with the crowing of the Prosser Junior Miss Court.
