Maybell Mary Patnode, 86, of Yakima died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, at Landmark Care Center.

She was born Aug. 31, 1918 to Alex and Ernestine (Poirier) Bouchey in Toppenish. On May 6, 1938 she married Phillip Patnode. They spent most of their married life in the Lower Valley. She worked as a floor lady at various fruit warehouses.

She is survived by two sons, Bob (Marianne) Patnode of Yakima and Dean (Dolly) Patnode of Zillah; three daughters, Donna (Richard) Siekawitch of Yakima, Pat (Bob) Rice of Sunnyside and Trudie (Dave) Lakey of Selah; two brothers, Raymond (Ilene) Bouchey of Yakima and Paul (Barbara) Bouchey of Harrah; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phillip B. Patnode; a daughter, Cynthia Patnode; three sisters, Alma (Beaudry) Axtman, Elizabeth Desmarais and Theresa Lowry; a brother, Herbert Bouchey; and a grandson, Greg Patnode.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004 and Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, from noon to 8 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home, Yakima. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at 5 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral with interment following at Reservation Community Memorial Park in Wapato. Memorial gifts can be made in Mrs. Patnode’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, c/o Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home, Yakima.


Gregory Weiner Salinas, infant son of Christal Jimenez and George Salinas of Zillah, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Yakima.

He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Christian and George Salinas Jr.; and two sisters, Kasandra and Siana Salinas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home, Sunnyside.
