Fire set in South Hill Park restrooms

Sunnyside police officers were called to a report of a fire in the 1500 block of South First Street, South Hill Park, late this past Wednesday afternoon. Toilet paper was set afire in the park restrooms. It was found just before 6 p.m. There has been no report of damage filed with the police department.

Police were also called on Wednesday to a case of fraud in the 100 block of West South Hill Road. Bi-Mart employees reported two women were attempting to cash a stolen check from Prosser. Police were unable to locate the suspects.

A burglary report was also filed Wednesday by the owners of a home in the 200 block of Merrick Avenue. Items were reported stolen from a home that was undergoing renovation. A list of items stolen was not available.
