Sunnyside Lions bring home District honors

The Sunnyside Lions Club earned several honors for its projects during the international organization's district meeting held in Moscow, Idaho recently.

The club, which is committed to sight preservation projects, earned second place for its scrapbook of activities completed during the past year, according to Lions Zone Chairman Melba Fujiura of Sunnyside.

Fujiura, along with Martha Conradt of Mabton, attended the two-day district meeting, which includes 47 clubs from Ellensburg to Kooskia, Idaho.

Fujiura also earned second place in the achievement category and the club brought home second place honors in the uniform delegation category.
