Honor roll accolades handed out at SCHS

A total of 31 students at Sunnyside Christian High School have been afforded "High Honor Roll" status for the third quarter of the 2004-05 academic year.

To earn that distinction, the SCHS students had to earn at least a 3.50 grade point average.

The academic achievers include seniors Samantha DeRuyter, Andrew Friend and Jordan Haak;

juniors John Bosma, Megan DeGroot, Ben Dekker, Erika DeRuyter, Jamie Durbin, Matthew Haak, Chelsey Jones, Katie Schneider and Jessica Schrotenboer;

sophomores Caitlin Aleman, Lucas Brouwer, Nick DeJong, Brittany denHoed, Brandon DeVries, Luke Meininger, Nicolete Plooster, Adrian Van Oostrum and Tori Van Wingerden;

and freshmen Jesse Brouwer, Michael DeGroot, Marc DeJong, Albert denHoed, Joey Elerding, Connor Erickson, Andy Freepons, jason Friend, Laura Schrotenboer and Brenen Swofford.

Another 18 SCHS students have been named to the regular honors, for achieving a grade point average between 3.00 and 3.49. They include seniors Carly DeGroot, Jordan Roberts, Robin Seifert and Tyssyna Van Wingerden; juniors Chad Den Boer, Juliana Erickson, Kevin Floyd, Paul Groenewold, Erica Smasne and Kimber Tucker; sophomores Abby Berkompas, Elizabeth Friend, Heidi Haak and Jacqui Roberts; and freshmen Taylor Gardner, Joel Koopmans, Andrea Schutt and Vanessa Van Boven.
